The Zapper was introduced in v5.6.7. It is available at level 35, being the only secondary in game to have the Zapped Effect.
The Zapper doesn't deal instant damage, hence it is not suitable to be used as a direct secondary to a primary. The Zapper can however be used as a finisher to finish off opponents. Provided the Zapper is shot at full charge, this weapon can deal up to 10 damage for 5 seconds which is 50 total damage. Despite this, it isn't a popular secondary among players as you are almost guaranteed to die before killing your opponent as the damage can only be dealt over a 5 second period. Not to mention the sluggish reload speed and charge-up time (which is slower than the Crossbow). Overall it is not recommended to use the Zapper and this secondary needs major buffs for it to see some use.
- Zapper damage now shows damage numbers on players and AI
- Increased Zapper ammo from 1 to 5
- Decreased Zapper Reload time from 2100 to 1400
