What are map drops?
Map drops are skins that players may receive by playing in public lobbies. These skins are hard to come by and are unique to each map present in the public lobby rotation. Currently, there are map drop skins for the following maps: Burg, Citadel, Evacuation, Freight, Industry, Kanji, Littletown, Lostworld, Oasis, Sandstorm, Site, Subzero, Undergrowth.
How to get map drops?
Not much information has been revealed about how to attain these special skins. However, to have an opportunity of receiving a map drop a player must be playing in a public lobby. The player must also win the match (in the case of a Free-For-All) or be part of the winning team (in the case of team-based game modes). The chances of getting a map drop are 0.5% and 1% for users with premium.
