With the launch and recent updates to KrunkScript, Map Makers of Krunker will be hosting Krunker Game Jam¹ - a week long Game Creation event sponsored by Yendis!

Event 1 (November 1st-November 8th, 2021)

• Participants will have 1 Week to start and create a game from scratch relating to the event theme (announced Nov. 1st) • This event will focus on games created with the use of KrunkScript (get creative as you can and put everything you know or have yet to learn into your games) • Games are encouraged to use tools and the Krunker Editor to their fullest potential (custom GUI's, script functions, CSS, animations, sounds, other custom assets, etc.) • Finalist Prizes will include $3,000 USD, In-game badge and more!

Event Theme

Mini Game: Simply a mini-game(s) with any size limit.

Prizes

• $3,000 USD + In-game Badge (1st Place)

• 65,000KR + 35,000KR (2nd and 3rd Place)

• Game Showcase (MMOK Channel, etc.)

Krunker Game Making Competition

50,000 USD to be won!

Custom Games are a huge part of what makes Krunker so fun. So the Developers have decided to run a Game Creation competition with a prize pool of 50,000 USD The goal is to encourage Game Creators to create unique experiences that don't follow the usual trend of custom maps. Submissions open around April 20th.

General Terms and Rules

These are the general Terms & Rules for submitting your Game/Map to the Official Competition


Judgement Criteria:

Here are some of the criteria we look for in your Custom Game submission:

- Use Custom assets such as: Sounds, Animations, 3D Models and Textures

- Create a Unique Game Type: Vehicle Combat, Racing, Arcade Game, Puzzle Game etc not something that already exists within Krunker

- Create a Custom UI using CSS Modpacks (Encouraged but not required)


Rejection Rules:

Submissions will be rejected/ignored if they meet any of the following criteria

- Copyright Material is used

- Inappropriate Content is submitted

The Game/Map is unoriginal and uses no custom Assets

- Extremely unstable performance/framerates


Requirements :

- Innovative Game Design: Create something Unique; no infect, trade or parkour maps.

- Unique Aesthetics: Try to use custom Assets & Textures.

- Fun & Unique Gameplay: Try to think of unique Game Mechanics outside of the normal FPS Gameplay. - Performance: Fast Load times & Good Framerates.


Suggestions for Game Ideas & Features:

- 2D Board Game: Utilize Triggers & New Trigger Features to create games likes connect 4, chess etc.

- Custom Assets & Sounds: Creating your own Assets, Animations & Sounds will earn you bonus points when it comes to the rating of your Game.

- Custom UI: Custom Interface.

- Vehicle Combat Game: Vehicle Combat Game: Pirates, Tanks etc - Raid/PVE Games: Dungeon Crawler Games (FPS or Top Down) with Unique Boss Mechanics.

- Top Down Survival Game: A Game like moomoo.io, utilizing Custom Assets & Animations.

Tips:

- Work as a Team: Work as a Team & Spread the workload between your Teammates.

- Push the Editor to its Limit: Utilize everything the editor has to offer: Animations, Custom GUI, Css, Custom Sounds & More.

- Get Inspired: Get inspiration from other games (outside of krunker).

- Playtest: Run a lot of playtests with players & collect feedback.

Hosted in the Krunker Bunker Discord, it was a Map-making competition with huge rewards.

Rewards

Map Qualifications

  1. must have over 800 objects and less than 1,500 objects
  2. must be able to support 1-8 players
  3. be built to support FFA, Hardpoint ,competitive play, or CTF
  4. minimal out of bounds and other map glitches and exploits
  5. avoid rotated objects with collisions, object clipping, & unnecessary detail (where possible)
  6. avoid areas that look like they are accessible when they are not
  7. one map per person or group
  8. groups can have 3 max people in them

Skin Making

Hosted by the Krunker Bunker event committee, the prize was the Elite Skin Maker role in the discord, and if your skins get added to the game, you are given an unspecified amount of KR.
